O*NET 17.0

The Department of Labor's Occupational Information Network (O*NET) Database has undergone a number of revisions since it s introduction in October 1998.  For a history of the database updates, visit the O*NET Center's production database page .  Version 17.0 was released as a development database in July 2012 and went into production status in O*NET Online in the fall of 2012.

O*NET Database Expanded: Version 20.1 of the O*NET Database has been released.  This version includes a number of tables that were formerly available as supplemental files.  See our O*NET 20.1 page for more information.

Military Crosswalk Revised:  The Defense Manpower Data Center has released a quarterly update to the file that links military occupations to those from the SOC and O*NET classifications.  Files are available for downloading from the NCSC's server.  A Workforce Information Database version is also available.

New IPEDS Content for WID Tables: The NCSC has formatted 2014 IPEDS content for use in the WID PROGRAMS, PROGCOMP, SCHOOLS and SUPPLY Tables.  Check out the readme.txt file, read the file structure document, or download the complete database.  Those who desire specific extracts for their state should contact the NCSC.

Occupation-industry linkages updated:  The NCSC has updated the occupation-industry linkages derived from BLS' OES and Employment Projections.  Both the May, 2014 OES estimates and 2012-2022 employment projections use the 2010 SOC and 2012 NAICS classifications.

Workforce Information Database Version 2.6.1 Released:  On May 8, 2015 the Analyst Resource Center released Version 2.6.1 of the Workforce Information Database.

New Military Resource PageThe NCSC has pulled together a variety of resources that relate to military to civilian occupations.  In addition to the standard crosswalk from the Defense Manpower Data Center that has been available for many years, the page includes results of two efforts to enhance that crosswalk's content and a link to a source of information from all of those data sources in a single place.
