The NCSC maintains a collection of thousands of files for use by the states as they build their versions of the Workforce Information Database. Many are state-specific data files taken from standard national sources. Others are database version-specific. These pages are designed to guide you through the directory structures in which the files are are stored and help you find the resources you need. Before downloading files, please check our What's New file for information about recent file updates. Workforce Information Database files are organized in two dimensions, by database version or by geographic area: Database Version These files are based on the structure of the respective versions. Data files are generally empty; many lookup and crosswalk files are prototype content. Files with content are available as delimited text, and all files are available for use with database software packages: Visual FoxPro, MS Access, and SAS/PC.
