About the NCSC
The National Crosswalk Service Center (NCSC), formerly operating as the NOICC Crosswalk and Data Center or NCDC, is a national service center specializing in occupational and training program classifications, their relationships to each other, and to related data. The center has been operated since 1983 by the Iowa State Occupational Information Coordinating Committee (ISOICC), now the Iowa Center for Career and Occupational Resources or ICCOR, under a series of special-purpose grants from NOICC. Funding for operation of the center has been provided by the Department of Labor since 1996. (Please pardon all the name changes -- we live in dynamic times.) For a detailed look at what the NCSC has been up to, take a look at some of our Annual Reports.
IN COOPERATION WITH other Federal agencies, the National Crosswalk Service Center serves as a depository of computerized occupational and educational information resources, including:
- Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Crosswalks
- BLS National Industry/Occupation Projections Matrix
- Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) Manual
- Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) Survey Dictionaries
- Occupational Outlook Handbook
- Military Occupational and Training Data
