O*NET 20.2

The Department of Labor's Occupational Information Network (O*NET) Database has undergone a number of revisions since it s introduction in October 1998.  For a history of the database updates, visit the O*NET Center's production database page .  Version 20.2 was released in February 2016 and went into production status in O*NET Online and other online applications at that time..

  • Released: February 2016
  • Updates
    • 857 new alternate titles related to 266 occupations were added
    • 1,056 new technology examples related to 417 occupations were added
  • Other Changes:
    • Release of whole number versions (20.0, 21.0, etc.) will continue to be driven by updates from the O*NET Data Collection Program.  The new, formerly supplemental, files are revised on various timelines, and inclusion of their revisions will be reflected by "dot" releases such as 20.1 and 20.2.
    • The National O*NET Center now makes Excel versions of all tables available for downloading in addition to the tab-delimited text, MySQL, MS SQL Server and Oracle versions.  Separate downloads of the entire database or each individual table are available.  See http://www.onetcenter.org/database.html
